IGNOSMUT noun – The trash propagated by such media venues as E! and People magazine.  It is a combination, obviously, of “ignorance” – which is cultivated by these barren wastelands of entertainment – and “smut” – which is pornography or other uncultured forms of literature and visuals.

I think it will catch on.  Spread it around.  When you see someone zoning out and wasting brain cells by drowning in such filth, just call it what it is – ignosmut.
