I love this pic…

My buddy sent me this shot – basically how I feel about the Indians right now.  They are on a bit of a cold streak – their pitching is rather suspect and the hitting is cooling down.  All in all, not a great sign.

On the other hand, has anyone heard of Jim Webb?  Former Secretary of the Navy, I believe.  Anyway, he's challenging Sen. Allen in Virginia this fall (if he gets the Dem's nomination) and he could be a very interesting candidate.  Progressive guy who still has the military-background toughness.  Keep on the lookout for him.

  1. I see your point–Jim Webb would NOT have let himself be tackled on a baseball field!

Unless his tackler was Grady Sizemore. I mean, come on, it’s Grady Sizemore. Is there anything that man can’t do?

  2. This Jim Webb guy seems way too intelligent to make it in politics. One thing that bothers me, though, is the layout of his website. Studies have proven over and over, and common sense dictates that links and information are put in order of importance from left to right. Even a person who doesn’t know this automatically puts links and information in this format because the things appear in the order that they work on them, normally in order of importance. My issue is that his “Issues” link is all the way over on the right, and seems to be the least informative, shortest page on the site. It doesn’t really even give any information about his views other than a short, high-level blurb. Even worse is that his “Issues” link comes right after his “Contributions” link. I don’t presume this is an uncommon thing with political websites, which is bothersome.

  3. P.S.: He does have a hot wife though.
